Haridra ganpati

The literal meaning of Sanskrit word ‘Haridra Ganapati’ or ‘Haridra Ganesh’ is Ganapati/ Ganesh made of Turmeric root. The Mudgala Purana, an ancient text on Lord Ganesha, gives detailed description about Haridra Ganesha.

 

Due to being made of Turmeric, ‘Haridra Ganesh’ is of yellow or golden color, which has relation with mythological story of Goddess Peetambara, also called Goddess Bagalamukhi, who had  blessed Lord Ganesha with a golden aura and complexion and given the boon that worship of ‘Haridra Ganapati’ will ensure golden phase of life to the worshipper.

 

The ‘Haridra Ganesha’ can be kept in home, business place, office etc. especially at the place of wealth for wealth, prosperity and harmony.
